I hate goodbyes

One of the hardest things to do when you’re a mom is saying goodbye to your children. Whether they’re going to school or moving into their first apartment or getting married.

As a military Mom goodbyes are too often the norm.

Let me tell you it’s one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. I don’t get them home often and when it’s time for them to leave again my heart breaks.

The tears flow freely for awhile, then you get settled that they’re at the next place where they have to be.

So if you see me crying it’s because I’m missing my family because they chose to serve this sometimes ungrateful nation.

So whether you support the president or not at least support the many men and women that are away from their families, so you can be safe and sleep soundly in your bed at night.

Thank a soldier and their family for the sacrifices they’ve made for all of us.

Always on my mind and in my heart. Honor and sacrifice.
